Lobsters are “biologically immortal”

Freakishly large lobster

This isn’t “Highlander“. If you are going to eat a lobster Its not going to give you its immortality. (BUT ITS REALLY GOOD, RIGHT?)

Lobsters get more fertile and strong as they age, not the other way around. Researches found that lobsters do not get weak, slow down or loose fertility as they grow older thanks to ‘telomerase‘ – something that repairs their DNA. this happens at the ends of their chromosomes and can make them (if there arent any injuries, diseases or predation) live forever. As they grow with age some of the lobsters reach enormous sizes like the 20kg(44lb) one that was caught in Nova Scotia, Canada. (biggest lobster ever caught).
